Sydney Moore has been working in costume design and production for over ten years. A nomad by birth, she has worked at theatres, universities, and summerstock companies across the nation. Raised in South Carolina, she earned her B.A in Technical Theatre and Design with a minor in History from Winthrop University (2013). From there, her journey brought her to Washington, D.C. to pursue her MFA in Production Design (2016) with a Certificate in Museum Studies (est. completion 2023) from The George Washington University.
For nearly a decade, she has been a DC-based costume designer, assistant designer, stitcher, draper, crafts artisan, and audience experience designer working around the DMV at theatres such as Folger Theatre, Keegan Theatre, Prologue Theatre (founding artist), Adventure Theatre, Rorshach Theatre, and many more. Since 2016, she has worked as the Costume Designer and Shop Manager at American University’s Greenberg Theatre, designing and producing all of the Department of Theatre and Dance’s productions. She specializes in off-beat, imaginative works, research-rich period pieces, and joyful collaboration with her fellow artists.
